Alison received her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Dominican College. 

She has been a pediatric occupational therapist since 2015. Before going into private practice she had the privilege of working in a private school accommodating children with autism for 5 years. In the past, Alison has also worked in early intervention, which has given her experience in treating children of all ages and ability levels.  Alison has experience working with children with fine motor and gross motor delays, visual motor and perceptual difficulties, sensory integration disorder, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental delays.  In addition, she has continuing education in Handwriting Without Tears, Brain Gym, sensory processing and regulation, and sensory diets, and has used The Alert Program and Zones of Regulation.  She also has taken a continuing education course on the DIR/Floortime Model. Alison has also completed the Star Institute’s Professional Credential in Sensory Processing’s Level 1 Intensive Mentorship and in the process of completing the Star Proficiency Certification.

Alison also received her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and Interpersonal Communications from William Paterson University.  While pursuing her Master’s Degree, she worked as a Special Education Teacher enhancing her love for special children with special needs.    

Alison brings out the self-confidence in each child allowing him and her to maximize his and her participation in childhood occupations; learning, playing, and socializing.  She is passionate about bringing the knowledge that she has to the children and families that she works with.

She is dedicated to continuing her education and considers herself a life-long learner.  She recognizes that each child is unique and provides the appropriate therapy that will empower them to reach their full potential.  In Alison’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her two children.
