Jessica strives to provide therapy that focuses on the ‘whole person’ and encourages families and the client to be a part of the therapy plan.

Jessica Cody graduated with a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Montclair State University. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in both Psychology and Linguistics from Rutgers University. She has experience working with clients in the following areas: expressive/ receptive language impairments in both children and adults; swallowing therapy in the adult population; Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); Down Syndrome; voice disorders; articulation/phonological disorders; cognitive disorders; and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). In addition to working part-time at Garden State Speech Therapy, Jessica works full-time in a specialized school for children with disabilities. Jessica has developed a special interest in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, language disorders, and adults with aphasia. She hopes to learn more about feeding and swallowing therapy in children.  Jessica strives to provide therapy that focuses on the ‘whole person’ and encourages families and the client to be a part of the therapy plan. Her passion for continuing her education enables her to provide evidence-based therapy to her clients, while still being individualized and functional, to improve client success in a variety of settings.  In her free time, Jessica likes to read, walk outside, and spend time with her family, friends, and boyfriend!
