Shara Hirsch M.A., CCC-SLP, OG-T

Shara has years of experience in school and clinical settings.

Shara received her Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology from Kean University. She also holds Bachelor of Arts in Speech Language Pathology and Psychology from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. Additionally, Shara has completed coursework to become a Certified Orton Gillingham Teacher.

Through years working in public schools and the clinical setting, Shara has gained expertise working with children and adults who present with a wide range of communication disorders including: receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, stuttering, autism spectrum disorder, Down’s Syndrome and William’s Syndrome. She also has experience with AAC and facilitating social skills groups. Shara is PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) Level I trained as well. 

Shara holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the state of New Jersey, and has her Speech Language Specialist certification from the state of New Jersey.
